Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the function is to assist and work closely with the Group Compliance Operating Officer and the other Compliance team members on internal compliance projects. The role will combine both knowledge of Compliance function practice and a clear understanding of project management activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensuring the high quality delivery of key Compliance project milestones on time and within budget, working as a team with other Compliance team members

• Identifying and tracking key risks, issues and mitigations. Escalates, reports and follows-up closure of issues and key risks

• Clearly and concisely presenting and communicating key updates to various stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, IT, Business, Operations) in a timely and consistent manner

• Maintaining the convergence of the agreed new operating model in the design phase of each project, and properly identify/escalate deviations

• Assisting the Group Compliance Operating Officer in the effective management of the transition towards the agreed new operating model

• Enforcing standard framework for project management methodology and related processes

• Collaborating with other Compliance team members to exchange on best practice

Important note: the Project Manager is expected to travel occasionally on site within Quintet entities

Knowledge and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience with a focus on project management activities and ideally Compliance practice.

• Solid understanding of Private Banking business and Management Company activities (including applicable regulatory requirements)

• Strong and proven experience in project management with ability to drive towards expected results

• Experience in multi-location and system-driven environments

• Proven ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization (including ExCo) in an effective manner

• You have participated in projects and are keen to evolve your project management skills

• You have strong organizational skills, ability to manage projects

• Be really hands-on in the delivery of the book of work for the Compliance function

• You build strong relationships and communicate effectively in order to positively influence peers, leaders and other stakeholders, adjusting your style based on the audience in order to have maximum impact

• You have the ability to handle many different tasks for multiple projects efficiently and effectively, driving topics with different stakeholders to reach the necessary deadlines

Technical Skills

• You have sound knowledge of the MS Office software tools (including Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

• A knowledge of Lombard Odier platform is an asset

Languages Skills


• You are fluent in English and French. A third language is an asset.
