Purpose of the Job


The successful candidate will work as part of the Lending Origination Entity as Lending Officer - Junior.

Key Accountabilities


- Work closely with Wealth Management, GIS and subsidiaries in an advisory capacity on the structuring of potential lending operations for KBL Group Clients in order to establish a strong, effective and ongoing partnership with other stakeholders of the lending operating flow.


- Provide Front entities with guidance on the Bank's credit Policy and support in engaging with clients using his/her strong credit knowledge to identify and submit solutions which balance the client's credit needs with the Bank's risk appetite.


- Write the Credit Application presenting the credit operation to the Credit Committee in collabo-ration with Front entities including an engaging opinion of the redactor.


- Manage the decision process for Lending Operations up to the setup of the credit jointly with other departments.


- Assist in the development, coordination and delivery of Credit Training to Private Bankers


- Participate in Lending-related business projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Bank's lending products, process and procedures.

Knowledge and Experience


- BAC + 4/5 in Economics, Finance or Legal


- Have a very good knowledge of the banking environment


- Have a high degree of knowledge of Credit Risk fundamen-tals and a sound understanding of the characteristics of the Private Banking Lending operations (leveraged, Lombard, mortgage, etc.)

- Possess strong analytical skills to be dedicated to , among others,  the understanding of complex structures,  assess credit strengths and weaknesses and develop viable, effective and (if needed) creative solutions


- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to main-tain high level discourse across the Group


- Be self-motivated, well organized


- Be stress resistant

Technical Skills


- Master of the Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Access)

Languages Skills

- Be fluent in English, French. Knowledge of another languages used  within the Group is an advantage
