Purpose of the Job

The team is responsible for executive reporting & analytics and is key to understand, monitor and challenge the performance of our Private Banking, Institutional, Asset Management and Financial Markets activities with a focus on the rollout of the strategic initiatives of the Group.

Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, this role will be critical in enabling informed decision making through a comprehensive understanding of the performance drivers and trends. 

Key Accountabilities


a) Review and deliver monthly financial results and KPIs, identifying areas needing action and making ongoing improvements.

b) Creation of KPI board packs, delivering strong financial analysis to challenge performance to drive growth and profitability, and to achieve budgets.

c) Drive change and improvement in the process flow between stakeholders and the finance team.

d) Manage, coach a team of finance professionals and regularly interact with senior stakeholders across the group.

e) Manage preparation of presentations to Executive Management, Board, and Investors including content creation, clear and concise presentation, timely delivery and accuracy of all management reports.

f) Identify areas of opportunity for revenue generation or cost savings; develop business cases for company initiatives.

g) Along with the Finance management team and the Finance Business Partners, manage the budget process and all subsequent forecasts, driving more cost accountability with budget owners viewing their actual spending versus budget by cost element.

h) Perform Ad-hoc analysis (e.g., business plans, assessing the viability of strategic initiatives, etc.)

Knowledge and Experience

• 10+ year experience in a similar level role in financial planning, modelling, forecasting/budgeting

• Master degree in Economics or Business Administration (Finance, accounting, business strategy)

• Experience in team management

• Detail oriented with insight to determine applicability of big picture analysis and obsessing over details

• Extremely curious, is not satisfied with easy or convenient answers, drives issues to their root cause

• Advanced financial, analytical and modelling skills

• Ability to learn quickly, perform detailed analyses, provide high value-add insights

• Experience with analytical modelling and accounting in the banking sector

• Capacity to question, challenge and optimize existing processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate financial data in easy to understand business terms


Technical Skills


High proficiency in Excel modelling and analytics required, experience in SAP and / or TM1 is a plus


Languages Skills


Fluent English. French desirable.
