Depositary Bank Oversight Team Leader

Purpose of the Job

Acting as Depositary Bank of Funds (mainly UCITS and AIF), Quintet Luxembourg must comply with regulatory requirements to ensure investors' protection. The main obligations are defined as Safekeeping of Custodable Assets; Ownership Verification and Recordkeeping of Other Assets; the proper Monitoring of all Cash Flows of the Funds; and the Oversight for duties under the responsibility of the Fund/Manager and its delegates.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensuring full compliance with regulatory Depositary requirements, with specific focus on Cash Flow Monitoring and Oversight duties (NAV, shareholders transactions, income distribution, investment restriction, timely settlement).
• Assessing the complexity of Funds strategies (UCITS, private equity, real estate, funds of funds and other alternative structures) in order to determine how to apply depositary function appropriately.
• Performing the oversight on the duties under the responsibility of the Funds Manager and its delegates (e.g. Central Administrations).
• Preparing internal and external reporting to provide status on Depositary controls and activities.
• Acting as point of contact for all depositary matters and for any issues escalated to Depositary Bank Oversight.
• Being involved in the due diligence performed on the Depositary Bank.
• Participate in team development activities and ad-hoc projects.
• Act as Team Leader of the activity Depositary Bank Oversight (DBO)
• Actively support the Head of Network & DBO in the organization of DBO,
• Ensure each task and controls on the Control Monitoring Plan are completed by DBO with the required quality level and within deadline,
• Ensure that all issues identified by DBO team are timely escalated with an impact analysis and potential solutions,
• Identify areas of improvements and efficiency regarding the existing DBO controls,
• Provide feedbacks to the management about the team performance,
• Ensure full backup in the absence of the management.

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg Investment Fund Legislation and depositary duties/responsibilities in particular related to AIFM and UCITS V Directives.
• Strong understanding about Fund’s key stakeholders (Central Administrations, Registrar, Management Company) and its activities.
• Previous Depositary Bank Oversight experiences is an asset.

Technical Skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
   

Languages Skills

• Fluent in French and English is required. Additional language (e.g. German, Dutch) will be considered as an asset.
