Purpose of the Job

Compared to others, we are small (<2,000 employees across 50 European and UK locations) with an ambition to stay true to our purpose to be the most trusted fiduciary of family wealth.The Compliance Head of Business Management is a Group Position covering the actual working of the Function. The candidate will need to have the expertise to manage front- and second-line relationships and the negotiating skills required.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Be accountable for the development of an operationally effective, high-quality Compliance function across all locations
  • Create and manage financial budgets for the function in line with finance and agree with CEO in the compliance fixed cost base
  • Build a strategy and manage our compliance systems and the placement of activities outside of compliance in line with the Banks five-year plan
  • Manage all audits and risk item issues across the function  
  • Ensure that training and development is running effectively  
  • Review and simplify current processes within compliance  
  • Align our function to be cost effective  
  • Build and provide management around our reporting obligations  
  • Provide infrastructure to enable specific system management
  • Manage the compliance relation with our counterparty (banking infrastructure platform)
  • Build a staff review process and manage the calibration  
  • Lead and manage change management and transformation program related to compliance function (target operating model, etc.)
  • Build operational risk controls for the compliance function

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Degree in Economics / Finance / Business  
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, in a COO role   
  • In depth knowledge COO functional responsibilities, products, and processes  
  • Experience in process and change management

Attributes and Qualities

 

  • Ability to organise and work with Risk on KRI, and KPI is essential 
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Technical Skills

 

  • Expertise in managing a function from the perspective of financial budgets, system management, project management, tactical change, etc.
  • Knowledge of control frameworks in the financial sector  
  • Knowledge and capacity to act in an international Group with various and cultures

Languages Skills

 

  • Fluent in English
