Purpose of the Job

Brown Shipley are now seeking to fulfil a new role within the business, Fee Revenues and Interest Income Accountant. The position will be based in our central London office, just a few minutes walk from Bank tube station. 

Key Accountabilities

Financial reporting month end tasks:
• Preparation of the IG Intercompany schedules and reconciliation and input to SAP
• Production of the Interest Earnings file and reconciliation to SAP P&L
• Prepare and create Investment Management fee accruals
• Prepare and create introducer fee payments when requested
• Review monthly Aged fee debtor analysis and recommend provisions where necessary 
• Manage the processing of bi-annual fees for the BSMF service and the associated disinvestment 
• Review the specific bad debt provision on a quarterly basis for all fees> 12 months (SSAS, SIPP, and Investment management) 
• Review the Fund Management P&L and Interest Earnings 
• Prepare and post the monthly IRS and prior month reversal journals 
• Review monthly interest income postings and produce variance analysis 
• Prepare the monthly bond portfolio file.
• Responsibility for the monthly reconciliation of the Bsco accounts in IG's platform by ensuring the appropriate SAP entries (IM, Custody, Brokerage, Interest and FX income) have been made into the Bsco Sales Ledger.
• Validate the quarterly interest earning income and EAM charges produced by Insinger Gilissen.
• Responsible for maintaining AIM and Probate registers and appropriate SAP entries
• Review Loan arrangement fee schedule and validate SAP entries
• Review and post SAP entries for IM Fees between Disc and Advisory, FX, Stock Ex costs and SP Broker comms to SAP                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Investment management fee billing process:
• Produce the quarterly IM fees for the clients on the G2 and IG platforms.
• Authorise the final IM, stock transfer, ISA transfer and Probate fees following the closure of an account or the decease of a client.
• Responsible for maintaining the tariff schedule for the clients on the IG platform.
• Responsible for processing any changes to fee tariff schedules and related fee waivers on the G2 platform
Daily Controls (shared task) 
• Production of the daily controls: 
• C90-SAP Rejects Report 
• SAP BI Reconciliation Reports 
• Balance Sheet Controls and Daily Movements Reports 
• Profit & Loss daily movements

Knowledge and Experience

Proven experience in revenue based analytical / financial reporting roles, ideally within Financial Services

Attributes and Qualities

Analytical, problem solver committed to accuracy and improvement.
Independently innovative and proactive. Capable of developing own skills, ideas and solutions.
Can clearly explain and communicate the results of their analysis to both Finance and non-Finance staff.

Technical Skills

Good understanding of revenue accounting requirements under International Accounting Standards (IFRS)
Detailed knowledge of processing accounting entries with experience of the SAP general ledger system preferable but not essential.
Strong Excel knowledge, with an ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly and accurately

Languages Skills

Fluent in English, Any European language also advantageous
