Purpose of the Job

We are now seeking an experienced professional to provide support to the MLRO and the Senior Financial Crime Compliance Manager in compliance with the ML Regulations and implementation of proportionate systems and controls within BSCo to mitigate the inherent risk of financial crime faced by the firm. 
The role covers all areas of Financial Crime, such as money laundering prevention, terrorist financing prevention, sanctions monitoring and fraud prevention, with primary responsibility being support of review and approval of High risk cases as part of onboarding and periodic review processes. 

Key Accountabilities

• Support the Senior Manager in review and approval of High risk cases in line with the company policy requirements and market practice; 
• Acting as the first point of contact for the OMT as part of the onboarding process and the front office as part of the periodic review process; 
• Maintaining and updating the relevant AML Team procedures;
• Perform 2nd LOD monitoring of Low and Medium Risk client files produced by OMT;
• Approve High risk cases in G2 client repository system; 
• Production of relevant MI as required by Senior Management

Knowledge and Experience


Solid experience in KYC function at a financial institution in UK (strong preference for wealth management or private banking) 
In depth understanding of trusts, companies, SPVs, pension funds, SSAS, complex structures, offshore structures and ability to exercise judgement and interpret policy requirements when applying CDD requirements to different types of clients  
In depth understating of the concept of enhanced due diligence and ability to apply judgement whilst determining the required elements of enhanced due diligence based on the risk presented  by the client  
Working knowledge of AML, regulatory compliance and controls within the banking and financial services industry
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet Explorer
Minimum of a B.A. degree
Excellent Research and communication skills
