Purpose of the Job


As a Facility Management team leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Facility Management department in Amsterdam and you are responsible for the implementation of the facility and hospitality strategy (staff engagement & client experience) as defined for InsingerGilissen as a whole (unambiguity for all buildings in NL)

In the role as a team leader you participate in daily operational matters (= foreman/-woman).
Your initial focus will be head office in Amsterdam, but this can be expanded to the other offices in NL, if this is necessary / desirable.

You are also involved in various projects such as digital transformation of facility processes and their implementation.

Key Accountabilities


  • General: the day-to-day management of the facility and hospitality strategy and CSR goals (green building) and contribute to and financially manage the allocated Office Management budget / investment proposals;
  • Leadership: Provide to the FM team support, leadership and direction in order to enable them to achieve their individual projects / initiatives;
  • Facility services: The efficient management, design and maintenance of buildings (and gardens), working conditions and workplaces based on customer excellence (internal and external) and sustainability, such that working and hosting can be done in a healthy, safe and inspiring environment;
  • Security & Safety Implementing and maintaining the centrally defined security policy, to create a safe environment for both employees and visitors;
  • Contract management, procurement and inventory management
  • Support during events: involved in the implementation of internal and external events both during and after regular working hours.
  • Digital transformation facility processes

Knowledge and Experience


  • Professional and intellectual abilities comparable to ‘HBO’ level;
  • At least 5 years of experience in facility management and in managing a team in a commercial environment;
  • Experience with project management;
  • IT affinity;
  • Has knowledge of legislation and regulations in (maintenance of) buildings and working environment.

Technical Skills


  • Strong knowledge of facility processes;
  • Knowledge / affinity with building installations;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are preferential;

Languages Skills


  • Good in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
