Fund Manager

Purpose of the Job

The Fund manager is primary responsible for managing the Specialty funds and special mandates (so-called direct investment strategies). The Fund Manager aims to achieve good results, also in the context of competing funds and mandates. Important tasks in this respect are conducting research, implementing the investment strategies, executing orders and communicating about the funds and mandates. In addition, the knowledge present is also shared within the entire Investments department and the Quintet group.

Key Accountabilities

• Research: Conducting thorough analysis and research on companies in the investment universe, within the framework of the principles set out in the investment policy. This requires maintaining good contacts with brokers (analysts) and with companies in which (potential) investments are made.
• Implementation investment strategy: Ensures a decisive and good implementation of the self-developed investment ideas in the Specialty Funds and portfolios with special mandates which fit within the investment strategy of these various Specialty Funds and mandates and which lead to strong and solid performance (including Morningstar Rating for the funds). Ensures proper compliance with the set guidelines of the prospectus and the internal guidelines. Contributes to the Bank's investment policy by sharing knowledge about companies or particular market segments.
• Order execution: Maintains contacts with brokers in order to execute orders resulting from investment decisions in the best possible way.
• Legislation and regulations: Follows relevant developments in laws and regulations, applies policies formulated by the Bank regarding implementation of laws and regulations and complies with compliance rules.
• Communication: Contributing to commercial activities directed at Private Bankers, clients, prospects and other shareholders of the Funds with the aim of ensuring client satisfaction, informing them of relevant developments and thereby contributing to the maintenance or growth of the assets under management. 

Knowledge and Experience

• Education University degree thinking level
• Extensive experience in the field of securities, company valuations, market analysis (macro-economic developments) and the management of special mandates and investment funds
• CFA certification (or aspire to obtain)
• DSI registration (or aspire to obtain)
