Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the function is to undertake a range of monitoring activities to prevent, detect and report data protection risks within Quintet Group, and to advise on corrective actions. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the Group Privacy Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for implementing the group wide data protection monitoring program for Quintet entities in Luxembourg and Belgium; ensure it is consistent with the Group Compliance monitoring standards. 
  • Perform data protection monitoring and testing activities independently and with team members; keep an overview on the data protection risks identified through the monitoring activities, provide recommendations to mitigate risks and follow-up on the corrective actions at entity level.
  • Create reports of completed monitoring and testing activities at entity level and contribute to the consolidation of reporting at Group level.
  • Update stakeholders on the progress of activities and findings with reports, meetings and presentations; escalate significant findings to management and Data Protection team.
  • Complete regular and ad-hoc tasks necessary to run the data protection risk-based monitoring and testing program.
  • Participate in the annual data protection risk assessment and the development of the annual risk-based data protection / compliance monitoring and testing plan.
  • Contribute to the work of the Compliance department in any other ways reasonably expected, including participating in projects and working groups and assisting with other priorities in the department or group as a whole


You will work in close collaboration with (1) other Compliance monitoring officers within the Group, especially those dedicated to data protection monitoring and (2) with the Data Protection experts in the countries/entities for which you will perform the monitoring activities.

You will be in touch with the Local Management while executing the monitoring and testing activities and reporting on the data protection issues identified.

Knowledge and Experience

  • University degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, and/or law
  • Strong knowledge and experience of audit or testing methodology
  • Generalist data protection, compliance and regulatory knowledge
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within financial services or public accounting or consultancy services
  • Advanced level of Excel, good ability for information technology
