Purpose of the Job

The Senior PM, will be deputy head of PMO, guiding the team with regards to best practices in projects and execution of strategic initiatives.
The Senior PM will be accountable for translating strategic goals of the Group into a comprehensive collection of projects, and setting up / managing the effective delivery (i.e., in respect of timing, budget and agreed quality levels) of some assigned strategic projects or program, using appropriate communication within the team, across departments and to the management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide to the team of PMO support, leadership and direction in order to enable them to achieve their individual projects / initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement on the quality level of project management within the Organization
  • Supervise the Demand Management cycle with all necessary stakeholders, drawing up per quarter a consistent set of prioritized activities and projects (program) aimed at achieving organizational goals in the long term
  • Contribute and/or lead the most critical projects/programs from Group and/or local strategic roadmap
  • Supervise assigned projects/programme and ensure day-to-day leadership and guidance:
    • identifying key risks, issues and mitigations
    • escalating, reporting and follows-up closure of issues and key risks
    • enforcing standard framework for project management methodology and related processes
    • managing program/project resources (incl. business mobilization) and budget (incl. forecasts) on a day-to-day basis
  • Participate in the elaboration of requested materials when appropriate along the project lifecycle
  • Work very closely with business, IT specialists and experts from support and control functions while making sure strategic alignment and prioritization is maintained
  • Champion change and foster adoption of new activities
  • Grow long-term relationships with all business lines through transparent communication and trust building
     

Knowledge and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Business administration, economics, technological or engineering sciences
  • Between 10 to 15 years of experience
  • Project management experience in a top-tier consulting company is a plus

  • Strong experience in leading a team, supporting each individuals in their delivery and motivating people
  • Hands-on attitude, willingness to access new challenges, and openness to changes in priorities
  • Strong helicopter view and ease in producing synthetic & decision-driven documents
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - essential for interacting with key stakeholders across the organization o.o.w. excellent skills to prepare C-level communication and be able to present elements to top management 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the company
  • Exceptional rigor and structure in follow-up of activities and chase up of different stakeholders to foster delivery of expected elements
  • Openness to innovation via continuous scrutiny of market change / opportunities and challenges for the bank
  • Be active in contributing to the set-up of innovation channeling through the Organization
  • Be ready to travel across entities of the Group
     

Technical Skills

  • Expert with project management methodologies, approaches and tools (such as PrinceII)
  • Very good understanding of Private Banking business processes, and IT delivery in banking industry
  • Expert with project management methodologies, approaches and tools is a plus 

Languages Skills

  • Dutch 
  • Excellent level of English
