Daniele Antonucci
Chief Economist & Macro Strategist

Daniele is our Chief Economist & Macro Strategist. He believes what makes the investment puzzle interesting is that the only constant is change, with cycles repeating but never quite the same.

Originally from Italy, Daniele is based in the UK and spent over a decade at Morgan Stanley, serving as Chief Euro Area Economist.

When he’s not watching the screens, making sense of economies and markets, or speaking with policymakers, you may find him on the ski slopes, playing his guitar, travelling somewhere with intermittent WiFi, or making food for family and friends.

James Purcell
Head ESG, Sustainable & Impact Investing

James is our Head of Sustainable Investment. He’s passionate about how partnerships and incentives can help solve some of our most challenging problems, and loves his job.

Originally a University of Oxford educated UK national, James now currently resides in Switzerland. He is at his happiest when playing with his son, or cooking pizza – the latter features frequently on his Instagram.

Carolina Moura-Alves
Group Head of Asset Allocation

Carolina is the Group Head of Asset Allocation at Quintet, responsible for setting the Strategic and Tactical Asset Allocation for the whole Group.

Previously, she was Head of Asset Allocation at Lombard Odier and before that Head of Fixed Income Strategies at UBS Wealth Management. Carolina has a D.Phil in Physics from the University of Oxford as is a CFA charterholder.

Pinaki Das
Head of Thematic Research

Pinaki is the Head of Thematic Research within Quintet’s Chief Investment Office. Pinaki brings more than a decade of top-tier sell side experience at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, most recently as a Global Thematic Investing Strategist and previously as a Cleantech Analyst.

When not closely following how our world is changing, Pinaki likes to play tennis and badminton as well as watch cricket. His current favourite singer is The Weekend and show Foundation on Apple TV (based on Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi novels).

Philipp Schöttler
Cross-Asset Strategist

Philipp is a senior cross-asset strategist with a focus on tactical asset allocation. He developed a strong passion for investing during his Economics studies and subsequent job at UBS. To balance the thrills of navigating financial markets, he enjoys practicing yoga and meditation.

Having moved from Germany to Switzerland more than 10 years ago, he still closely follows the fate of his favourite German football team SC Freiburg. Otherwise his two children keep him (happily) busy.

Patrik Ryff
Strategic Asset Allocation Strategist

Patrik leads Quintet’s Strategic Asset Allocation efforts. He is focused on constructing optimal long term portfolios to help our clients reach their financial goals – however they define it. Throughout his roles as asset allocator at UBS and M&G, he never lost his affection for macroeconomics in which he holds a PhD.

Patrik currently lives in London with his family. Sally Mann’s Memoirs Hold Still and Bruce Springsteen’s Renegades top his wish list on Amazon.

Robert Greil
Chief Strategist, Merck Finck

Robert is Chief Strategist at Quintet’s German unit Merck Finck. In his group role as Senior Macro Strategist, he’s also a member of Quintet’s macro team. He has worked for several banks and as a financial journalist, before joining Merck Finck as an equity analyst in 2007. Robert had also served our European banking group from 2014-2020 as a Group Asset Allocation Team member.

He likes presenting our views internally, to clients and to the press. Robert and his family with three boys lives in Munich and likes music, sports like skiing and biking, the near-by mountains and all around water.

Tom Kremer
Senior Macro Strategist

Tom joined the CIO team at Quintet as a senior macro strategist following stints in a variety of positions across the group, including, most recently, as fund manager for a range of fixed income funds.

Following studies in economics and strategy both in the UK and Switzerland, Tom returned to his native Luxembourg. After a few years in the satellite industry, Tom joined the finance world via the completion of the CFA Program. On weekends, he enjoys a quiet family life with his two little children.

Phillip Odum
Macro Strategist

In his position as Strategist within Quintet’s macro team, Philip is producing reports and building macroeconomic models that provides in-house framework and view of financial market conditions.

He strongly believes that one need to understand historic events in order to grasp current and future scenarios. He finds this mindset useful when delving into historical epochs, but also when travelling and being exposed to new cultures.

During his spare time, Philip is still trying to learn French, as well as being an avid follower of sports, such as football and Formula One. He also spends some time in exploring London, after his recent move from Sweden.
